This quiet, romantic retreat may be only a five-minute walk from the towering chain stores—and the crowds that fill them—on the Champs- Élysées, but it gives the impression of a world apart. East meets West in an 18th-century French décor that pairs chinoiserie, variations of toile de Jouy fabrics, and deep sofas piled with pillows in a palette of peacock blue, gold, and burgundy.
