Hotel Yasmin
COST: $$
Design junkies traveling to Prague, take note: even if you don’t stay at the over-the-top Hotel Yasmin, it’s worth it to stop in for a peek. The 198-room property, housed in a former office building near Wenceslas Square, gleefully thumbs its nose at the city’s baroque leanings. Silver orbs dangle from the ceiling in the hotel restaurant, Noodles; sculptures covered in red faux fur stand like sentinels in public spaces; and bathrooms are clad in black tile. This is definitely not the Prague of its backpacker heyday.
