California Grill
Disney's Contemporary Resort
Behind 15th-floor picture windows that overlook the Magic Kingdom and Cinderella’s Castle, the California Grill is the place to watch the park’s nightly sunset fireworks display over dinner and drinks. The wide-ranging menu here skips from sushi rolls to oak-grilled beef filet and from sautéed foie gras to gnocchi gratinée. Of the many appetizer choices, the flatbreads are particularly excellent; try the Hudson Valley duck prosciutto with fennel jam and aged goat cheese. There’s also a fairly long wine list and a selection of sinful desserts (chocophiles should make a beeline for the molten Valrhona cake with house-made cherry ice cream).
Tip: If you want to eat during the fireworks—and trust us, you do—you’ll need to book more than a month ahead.
