Bonnie Groot, the American-born owner of Arch Angel Antiques, is an expert on 5,000 years’ worth of Chinese history—and accordingly, her cavernous shop at the beginning of Hollywood Road carries a spectacularly large range of antiques. Ceramics and terracotta figurines from the Ming and Tang dynasties, ancient bronze Buddhas and stone statuary, antique lacquerware, and carved tables and chairs are just some of what she stocks in her 5,400-square-foot emporium.
