This diminutive operation is the ultimate destination for luxe kids' gear. Just off Lincoln Road, the store carries Bugaboo baby strollers, Marc Jacobs children's clothes, artist-designed toys, mini Eames chairs, and other scaled-down renditions of mid-century-modern furniture. This is a place that understands the importance of whimsy in the life of a child. Any kid, young or old, will delight in Yoshito Nara's My Sweet Dog ($84), a stylized black-and-white wooden pup on wheels with a springy tail that's fun and maintenance-free.

Tip: For larger items that won't fit into your suitcase (Alex loft beds, cribs by David Netto), check out the store's other location, in the Wynwood section of Miami (49 NE 39th Street; 305/571-2000).
